“Hyundai has released pictures of its soon to be launched i20N prototype winter testing in Arjeplog, Sweden.”
After making its first appearance at the Frankfurt Motorshow in 2017, Hyundai launched their Namyang Wonder, the i30N in South Africa February this year. And now, the Korean automaker has released videos and images of its i20N prototype testing in winter conditions at Sweden’s Arjeplog. These videos show driver Thierry Neuville the Rally specced i20 WRC, the RM19 and i20N through their paces in which shots of the prototype were taken.
The i20N follows the successful launch of the i30N and i30N Fastback – which was launched in European markets. Continuing the evolution of the N, Hyundai is developing yet another high performing version of the N. As with all other N models, the i20N will road legal and racetrack-ready.
The i20N shared its testing at the Arjeplog frozen lake with the RM19 Concept – RM meaning Racing Midship – which serves as a testbed for developing and testing new ideas. The RM19 is powered by a rear-axle mounted 2.0-litre litre turbocharged engine with an output of 287kW with a large rear spoiler completing the look.
Details of the i20N will be revealed in time.
