“In 110th Anniversary, Alfa Romeo has combined its Italian flair and racing expertise to create illustrious liveries for their Giulia GTA.”
Paying homage to the 1965 Alfa Romeo Sprint GTA, the Italian marque paid homage to its best initials with the limited edition Giulia GTA and GTAm earlier this year. Limited to 500 units, the GTA pride itself in its lightness and high powered engines. Not only did Alfa Romeo celebrate the Giulia GTA Sprint but also its 110th Anniversary which the style centre has used to design unique and exclusive liveries.
For the 500 lucky owners, Alfa Romeo is making the Giulia GTA not just simply a car to buy but an experience to be had. It has developed a series of ad hoc modifications and customisations to the exterior and interior of the car so each customer can have the GTA of their dreams, built around them and able to meet their every aesthetic need.
Liveries available to the customer reinterpret the successful racing history of the GTA and owners can request the liveries with a side number selected by themselves and a Goodwool car cover to match. Reinterpretation of the racing history can be seen with the use of a yellow nose that helped distinguish the 1971 European Touring Car Championship winning car. The asymmetrical nose adorned the 1965-1968 GTA Sprint and the symmetrical nose of the GTA 1300 Junior.
In helping to separate drivers of the same team, the nose of each racing car was painted in a different colour. To reinterpret this, a mask with lateral stripes adorns the new Giulia GTA and GTAm evoking the brand’s racing history by incorporating an Alfa Romeo logo.
Some of the most representative and evocative liveries include those in ochre and white and red and yellow. The ochre recalls the 1750 GTAm in which Toine Hezemans won the ETCC in 1970, while the Biscione on the bonnet and lines on its sides are a nod to the GTA 1300 Junior. The longitudinal stripes, meanwhile, were the aesthetic quirks of individual drivers.
In addition to the Centro Stile liveries – in limited availability, the Giulia GTA and GTAm will be available in a choice of GTA Red, Trophy White and Montreal Green, a range of colours that pay tribute to the Italian flag. Customers can also choose from a selection of colours for the brake calipers, roll bar, seat belts and stitching.
Besides the unique livery, Alfa Romeo GTA customers will gain a dedicated product specialist with their purchase. Added customer experience value will also include a Bell helmet in special GTA livery, a tailor-made Goodwool cover and an advanced driving course. The GTAm will be included with Alpinestars complete racing apparel.
While a dedicated online configurator is available, customers can pick up their Giulia GTAs or GTAm at Alfa Romeo’s iconic location, the Autodelta workshop in Balocco, Italy.
