“Thanks to Porsche Classic Communication Management, you can now open up the digital world on your vintage and young classic Porsche.”

Responsible for spare parts supply and restorations of all Porsche classic cars, Porsche Classic has introduced modern connectivity for its vintage and young classic car. These include the 911 models of the 996 generation and Boxster models of the 986 generation which were built in the ‘90s.

Originally, the 986 generation Boxsters were optionally equipped with a Porsche Communication Management, a 2-DIN format infotainment system. For Boxsters, Porsche Classic has developed a new Porsche Classic Communication Management Plus 7-inch touchscreen with optimised display. The high-resolution screen has haptic feedback and is based on dashboard components such as air vents and push-button switches. Peripheral components already installed in the vehicle such as amplifier, loudspeakers or antenna can still be used. The navigation displays in the instrument cluster are also still supported.

Older vintage Porsches can be equipped with a smaller 3.5-inch single din PCCM Plus infotainment system which is equally technologically advanced as the 7-inch double din. Both the PCCM and PCCM Plus feature an external media box that provides an interface for iPhone, USB and AUX. The telephone function, including access to your contacts, is also available via Bluetooth. Both headunits are equipped with smartphone mirroring capabilities for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
