“To impress its clients, Lexus has improved their interior and technology on the IS, LS, NX and RC models for 2020.”
Toyota’s up a notch in luxury brand Lexus has improved its models with interior technology-focused upgrades for model year 2020. These continuous improvements are aimed at offering Lexus customers quality drives and even more amazing experiences while on the road, says the automaker.
Powered by a 3.5-litre quad-cam V6, a greener 2.5-litre hybrid motor and a 2.0-litre turbo-powered engine, the Lexus IS will now be available with a new paint option called Manganese Luster. Both the F Sport and the Hybrid model will now feature a 15-speaker Mark Levinson sound system for AudioSexual Petrosexuals. A sunshade will also be added as standard for the aforementioned models. The F Sport will also gain updated LED Hi headlamps with adaptive High Beam.
A bit bigger than the Urban Crossover, the Lexus NX model range will receive substantial upgrades which include: headlamp cleaners, headlamps levelling and power enabled boot with retractable side mirrors for the SE Hybrid model. Within the Lexus NX SE Hybrid, wooden inserts adorn dashboard inserts while a panoramic sunroof and a full leather-trimmed interior complete the interior look. Both the F Sport and SE hybrid models now come standard with the Lexus Safety System which includes Pre-crash System, Lane Trace Assist and Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. The NX range will now feature an audio infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Intense and graceful in its approach, the Lexus RC, in exclusive F guise, will include upgrades such as an electronic parking brake and a 17-speaker Mark Levinson Sound System. And to add to the entertainment experience, the vehicle now comes standard with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay.
Now in its fifth generation, the LS is available in two derivatives – the LS 500 and LS 500 F Sport. Both are based on a new rear-drive platform and feature a bold design with a coupe-like silhouette. New in its features is the all-speed adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist. The colour palette has been rationalised. Terrane Khaki and Amber are no longer available for order in the LS 500, while Amber is discontinued on the LS 500 F Sport.
Lexus’ best-in-class 7-year/105 000km Warranty and Full Maintenance Plan is standard for all petrol Lexus models. This approach illustrates the belief Lexus has in their vehicles’ master craftsmanship and outstanding build quality. Vehicle service intervals are at every 15 000km, alternatively once a year.
